Advertising Disclosure
Last updated: 2026-06-12
eSIM Observer is an independent publication operated by eSIM Observer Media Group, an EU-based company. This page explains, plainly, how this site makes money — and what that does and does not influence.
How We Make Money
Affiliate commissions. Some links on this site are, or will become, affiliate links: if you click one and buy an eSIM plan, the provider pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. As of the last update of this page, our affiliate applications are pending and no live affiliate links are active on this site yet — when that changes, this page and the affected articles will say so.
What we don’t do (today). We currently run no display advertising, no sponsored posts, and no paid placements. If we ever introduce them, sponsored content will be clearly labeled as such on the page where it appears, and this disclosure will be updated first.
How You’ll Recognize Affiliate Content
- Any article containing affiliate links carries a disclosure line near the top: “This article contains affiliate links — see our disclosure policy.”
- Affiliate links on this site use the path format
esim.observer/go/<provider>/...so you can always tell when a link is commission-bearing before you click it.
What Commissions Do Not Buy
- Rankings. Where we compare plans or providers, ordering is determined by the stated criteria (price, data, coverage, value per GB) — never by commission rate.
- Coverage. Providers cannot pay to be reviewed, to remove a review, or to edit our conclusions.
- Data. Pricing and compatibility claims come from cited, dated sources regardless of any commercial relationship. Where we don’t yet have verified data, we say so on the page rather than filling the gap with a partner’s marketing claim.
Why This Page Exists
Disclosure of material connections between a publisher and the products it recommends is required by the U.S. FTC’s Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) and by EU consumer protection law on commercial transparency. More simply: you can’t judge our independence if you can’t see our incentives. This page is the standing answer.
